The Brief

Mac-EV is an EV charging station finder app that allows users to add details about their EVs by mentioning the charging port and required input power specifications to find best-fit EV charging stations coming on the route and even book fast charging slots in advance to make the long drive experience a breeze.

The Challenge

In this age of EVs becoming a buzz in the automotive industry, to make it a more reliable product to buy, installations of charging stations and making users find it coming in their route becomes necessary. So, our client came to us with the requirement to build an EV charging station finder app for the following reasons:
- To improve overall EV customer experience by allowing them to access data about the nearby compatible charging stations;
- Use this app as a differentiator to motivate more people to buy EVs and from them only;
- Collect data and EV usage metrics, such as EV usage patterns, charging habits, car average, etc.;
- Can be a great asset to marketing and promotional campaigns to spread EV brand awareness.

The Solution

There was a pressing need for this kind of app. As this concept was new to us, our team was excited to work on this project. Understanding the requirements, we aligned a team project manager, business analyst, creative UI/UX designer, and mobile app developers to work on this project dedicatedly. They utilized their experience in working with unique app development projects to define the best-fit solution meeting their requirements.

We developed a smooth app for this project that contains a simple and quick login screen, a sidebar to check and edit My Car Info, Liked Stations, Bookmarks, and more, station finding filters like connector types, charging power, amenities required, and QR scanner to generate the bill and make quick payments through linked bank accounts or app wallet.

Third-Party Integrations

To make this feature-rich and reliable for users to keep using, we have ensured to integrate many third-party APIs for geolocation tracking, map, various payment gateways, a QR generator, and more.
