The goal was to transform a vision of "well-being for all" into a sophisticated, multi-platform digital ecosystem. We served as the end-to-end technology partner, handling everything from initial Discovery and UI/UX Design to the full-stack development of iOS and Android apps, a robust Super Admin panel, and a high-conversion WordPress marketing site.
Shoorah is a comprehensive mental health and wellness platform designed to bridge the gap between self-help tools and professional clinical support. Serving both individual B2C users and large-scale B2B enterprises, Shoorah provides scientifically backed tools ranging from AI therapy companions to expert-led live sessions, all while maintaining the highest levels of data compliance and clinical credibility.
Shoorah co-founders Lorri Haines and UK TV personality Ferne McCann had a clear mission: make scientifically backed mental health support accessible to individuals and businesses across the UK. But they had zero digital infrastructure.
They needed to serve two completely different audiences:
distressed individuals seeking midnight support and corporate HR
managers onboarding 500 employees, all within a single product.
The platform had to support real-time AI therapy conversations, live video sessions with licensed experts, and media streaming across multiple geographies.
And it all had to comply with SOC2 Type 2, GDPR, BACP, and ICO standards from the beginning.
Before a single line was written, MindInventory conducted in-depth requirement sessions mapping both individual and B2B user journeys.
We built UX wireframes establishing clear information architecture across the consumer app, business dashboard, PEAP expert portal, and super admin panel.
Our Figma design system encoded accessibility-first principles and a calming color palette, which is critical for a mental health product where visual overwhelm can trigger disengagement.
The final visual direction combines mindfulness-inspired aesthetics with modern usability principles for a clean and immersive experience.
We built native-quality iOS and Android apps using Flutter, featuring a modular architecture for fast iteration. Key innovations include Shuru: an AI-powered 24/7 therapy companion with text, voice, and multilingual support, alongside mood tracking, guided meditations, breathwork, journaling, vision boards, rituals, self-assessments, and Shoorah Kids.
Shuru, the AI therapy companion, wasn't just a chatbot. We integrated multilingual voice support with end-to-end encryption and data privacy architecture meeting GDPR and SOC 2 standards. Therapy conversations had to be secure, private, and clinically defensible; we built it that way from the first prompt.
We built a conversion-focused site showcasing services, certifications, partner logos, press coverage, blog resources, and strong B2B lead-generation flows (demo bookings and free trials).
Developed a modern backend using Node.js and MongoDB on AWS to support four distinct user types: individual users, corporate admins, PEAP experts, and super admins.
We designed the API layer to support external partners embedding Shoorah's features under their own brand. This wasn't an afterthought but a part of the revenue model from the start, and it required modular, well-documented endpoints that could be consumed independently.
We built a content management pipeline within the super admin panel. This is enabling Shoorah’s team to publish meditations, podcasts, and journal prompts without developer dependency, which is reducing bottlenecks and enabling rapid content iteration.
The final solution delivered a seamless and engaging user experience that improved accessibility, increased user engagement, and supported measurable business growth. Through thoughtful design, intuitive interactions, and a wellness-focused approach, the platform successfully created a more impactful and scalable digital experience.
